Each session takes a look at how marks are awarded for each of the GCSE English Language questions; examines how marks have been awarded for exemplar standardised scripts; offers you a range of teaching strategies and resources to foster higher achievement.
We can support teachers who are not English graduates in their delivery of English / literacy to key stage 3 students. Our sessions can help teachers to gain the depth of subject knowledge and skills they need to be able to teach English at Key Stage 3 as well as providing them with a valuable insight into the steps after Key Stage 3 when students study English at GCSE level. This can include text overviews and terminology knowledge based on the needs of the teachers
We love teaching Shakespeare at Key Stages 3 and 4 understanding how fundamental it is within the National Curriculum. We can offer support teachers in planning, preparing and resourcing an engaging and insightful introduction to Shakespeare’s plays for your students. The course aims at building the granular knowledge needed to excel in Shakespeare at Key Stage 4 to make the transition seamless at Key Stage 4.
